Ronaldo not going to Real Madrid ???

July 6, 2008

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is now expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Manchester United next season.

The Spanish champions have spent the summer trying to sign Ronaldo, who has  admitted it is his ‘dream’ to play for Real.

Ronaldo has yet to announce his future and is due to havesurgery on an ankle , which could put him out of playing for at least six weeks.

United are determined to stop Real’s interest in Ronaldo and complained to Fifa earlier in the summer.

Calderon has frequenlty stated that he wanted to sign  Ronaldo, but has acknowledged United’s continuous statements that the 23-year-old is not for sale.

Still time

The Real supremo now seems to feel that the time may be past for a summer signing.

“Ronaldo has said he would like to play here, that it is a dream, that he would be excited to come to Real Madrid, but it is a desire of the player which can not be carried out without Manchester’s agreement,” Calderon told Marca.

“Manchester has to want it. Once they decide to sell him and communicate this, we can say we are talking about a possible transfer. But as of today that is not happening.

“Theoretically we still have time, there are still two months left until the end of August if Manchester gets in touch with Real Madrid and makes an offer.”

Calderon also said that the most ‘probable outcome ‘as of today’ is that ‘Cristiano Ronaldo will continue to play for Manchester United next year’

Ronaldo’s move to Real Madrid rubbished by Manchester United

July 4, 2008

Cristiano Ronaldo is not going to Real Madrid say Manchester United on the   verge of the new football season.

Will he injury put real Madrid off signing Ronaldo- no way. As the best player in the world today Real Madrid want him and he wants to go there to realise his ambition to win the world player of the year award, something no one has done while playing in London.

Ronaldo- will he join Real Madrid or won’t he ?

June 22, 2008

Real Madrid boss Ramon Calderon won’t give his views on Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments that he wanted to join the club.

Real have always wanted Ronaldo - despite Manchester United’s insistence he was not for sale.

Madrid were even reported to Fifa by the United, although this was thrown out by football’s governing body.

The Spaniards were  waiting for Ronaldo to openly declare his desire to move to the Bernabeu - something he did on Friday after Portugal’s exit from Euro 2008. Ronaldo has

that he doesn’t care what Sir Alex Ferguson thinks. He wants to play for Real to realise his ambition to be World player of the Year, no-one has won this award playing in

England!

But Calderon says the issue needs to be resolved by United and Ronaldo.  He stated:

“As we have already said many times, it is a problem between Manchester United and the player

“If the two resolve this situation and Manchester United want to call us then we will be happy and delighted with them because Cristiano is a great player.

We can’t say anything more, we only talk about our own footballers and Cristiano is Manchester United’s.”

Watch this spcae for further news-my guess is Ronaldo will go and Arsenal will win the Premiership- but more of that later.
