Chicago Fire 2-2 Colombus Crew

Chicago Fire drew 2-2 with the MLS leaders Columbus Crew. Fire opened the scoring in the 13th minute and that was the way it stayed until half time Columbus played better in the second half and managed to score twice within 2 minutes. Gaven and Barros were  the goal scorers.

David Beckham selected for MLS star team

David Beckham joins MLS All-Star Eleven
David Beckham has just been  voted to join the MLS All-Star eleven. Beckham joined the All-Star squad after his debut year  in  Major League Soccer. The  results were announced today.The fans,players,media and officials all voted for their star players.   Landon Donovan , Beckham’s team mate at Galaxy and Beckham himself were top of the voting and were joined by Chicago Fire’s midfielder Cuauhtemoc Blanco.

The MLS All-Star team will play West Ham United in a friendly match, in Toronto. Steve Nicol, New England’s Revolution coach, will lead the MLS squad. Should be an interesting match. MLS All Stars to win 2-0!

Columbus Crew 2 - 2 Chicago Fire

Columbus Crew dropped 2 important points at home against Chicago Fire and allowed New England Revolution to build a big lead at the top of the MLS.

The home side gained a late  2-2 draw against the 4th placed Chicago. Chicago Fire lead 2-0 after  early goals scored by Chris Rolfe and Calen Carr. Emmanuel Ekpo pulled one back for Columbus while Steven Lehnhart managed to equalize late in the game in the 87th minute

Chivas USA 2 Chicago Fire 0

Chivas USA  defeated  Chicago Fire by 2 goals to 0. Chivas,thanks to this win climbed to 6th in the MLS ,two points behind Chicago Fire who are still above them in 5th.

 Klejstan and Braun scored the goals for Chivas in the twenty sixth and thirty first minutes.
