Nigeria 4-1 Belgium Beijing Olympics 2008 Semi-final

Nigeria marched comfortablyinto the final of the Beijing 2008 Olympics football tournament. Belgium couldn’t repeat their great performance against Italy and had to accept a severe 4-1 drubbing aganinst unfancied Nigeria.

Adefemi opened the score for the Nigerians in the 18th minute and by the 73rd minute Obassi Edu’s two goals had made it 3-0 for Nigeria.

Okonkwo scored another superb goal for Nigeria in the 79th minute. Belgium scored their consolation goal in the 89th minute through Ciman.

Italy 3-0 Republic of Korea Beijing Olympics

Italy convincingly defeated Korea 3-0 thus confirming their status of favourites for Winning the 2008 Olympic Games Football Gold Medal. Rossi, Rocchi and Montolivo scored in the 16th, 20th and 90th minutes to complete a stroll in the park for the Italians.

Honduras U21 0-3 Italy

Italy completed an easy win against Honduras in their opening match of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The Italians won 3-0 after goals scored by Giovinco, Rossi and Acquafresca. The last two goals were from penalties
