Barcelona 1-1 Racing Santander

Barcelona have got off to a poor start this season with only a 1-1 draw on Saturday night, at the Camp Nou, against Racing Santander.  Lionel Messi scored in syle from the penalty spot in the 71st minute to give Barcelona the lead but Racing equalised 6 minutes later from a free kick.

Barcelona are currently 15th with Racing at 13th.

Wisla Krakow 1-0 Barcelona

Barcelona lost 1-0 in Poland. After holding a 4-0 advantage from the first leg of this European Champions Qualifying round this match was largely academic but a Barcelona defeat was still a surprise.

Cleber score the winning goal from a diving header in the 51st minute.

Barcelona 2-1 Boca Juniors

Barcelona have won the 2008  Juan Gamper Trophy. This is an annual competition that presents FC Barcelona’s squad for the new season. The South Americans from Boca Juniors were invited to play  at the Nou Camp.

Boca Juniors  scored through Viatri first after a goalless first half.

Barcelona equalised in the final moments of the match through Puyol equalized with a great header  while Samuel Eto’o scored a superb goal with a diving header in added time.

Barcelona 4-0 Wisla Krakow Qualifying round

Barcelona started their new season with a comfortable 4-0 win.. Pep Guardiola was in charge officially for the first time  as Barcelona manager . The Catalans had an easy night against the Polish side  Wisla Krakow.

Eto‘o (twice), Xavi and Thierry Henry were the goal scorers for Barcelona leaving  Wisla no chance in the second leg after scoring  4 goals  at the sold out Nou Camp

Hibernian 0- Barcelona 6

 FC Barcelona thrashed the Scotish Premier League side, Hibernian, in a pre-season friendly played yesterday. The match ended with a 6-0 win for Pep Guardiola’s boys. Gudjohnsen (twice), Messi, Pedrito, Bojan and Toure were the scorers for Barcelona.
