Blackburn Rovers 0-2 Chelsea
November 10, 2008
Chelsea duly returned to the top of the Premiership after a straight forward win at Ewood Park on Sunday. Despite the occasional spurt of Blackburn pressure Chelsea never looked really threatened and strolled out comfortable winners thanks to 2 goals from Anelka in the 39th and 68th minutes.
The first goals was a lucky one for Chelsea coming as it did off a deflection from Anelka’s knee and leaving Robinson no chance.
Check out the highlights.
Manchester City 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur
November 9, 2008
Spurs climbed out of the bottom 3 as their amazing revival continued at Maine road. city meanwhile are sliding down the table and surely Mark Hughes job must now be at risk.
What price Sven now ??
Robinho put City ahead as usual but as usual their leaky defence let in 2 goals, the first coming from Darren Bent in the 29th minute, the second from Bent again in the 64th.

Wigan 0-0 Stoke City
November 9, 2008
The team with the worst home record in the league (Wigan) played the team with the worst away record in the premiership (Stoke City). You could say a draw was inevitable and so it was.
A dull, dour game with not a lot to say.
So I won’t bother.
West Ham 1-3 Everton
November 9, 2008
West Ham United really blew this one. They led in the 63rd minute against Everton and then proceeded to allow Everton to score three goals in the last 7 minutes to give them an undeserved win. Saha scored two of them .
Is Giafranco Zola’s place as manager now in danger ???

Sunderland 1-2 Portsmouth

Make no mistake-Portsmouth rode their luck in this game. Sunderland should have had at least a point.
Cisse put Sunderland ahead in the 4th minute

Then Defoe hit an injury time penalty to give Portsmouth an undeserved win.

Hull City crash to their third defeat in a row. They were unlucky, though,to lose the match creating lots of chances which should have been converted.
In the end they lost to a Martin Taylor goal in the 50th minute.

Liverpool easily beat WBA to move to the top of the Premiership, at least until today when Chelsea play Blackburn.
Robbie Keane broke his duck in the Premiership scoring 2 good goals. Arbeola added the third in injury time to complete a good win for Liverpool- newly consistent ???
Check out Keane’s goals.
And 2-0
Arsenal 2-1 Manchester United
November 9, 2008
In a pulsating match at the Emirates Arsenal defeated Manchester United 2-1 and told their critics to get stuffed. A win for Arsenal was probably the right outcome although there were countless chances at both ends and the score could have been very different.
Nasri scored both goals for the gunners to give them a 2-0 lead and although United hit a goal in added time it wasn’t enough to give them a draw.

Nasri 2-0
