Draft signings reach secound-round
The domino effect of draft signings continued on Monday, as the Philadelphia Eagles signed second-round choice LeSean McCoy to a four-year contract. McCoy, a running back who will aim to ease the load of Brian Westbrook, is the first second-round choice to ink. As is typical, late-round choices agree to terms first while early picks may bargain up to training camp, with some holding out. Those that do “hold out” and wait to sign until after training camp begins put themselves and their prospective squads at a disadvantage - as valuable time is lost for development and improvement.
